1. Who We Are
Öresund Patrøl (ÖP) is a Swedish-Danish nonprofit organisation dedicated to sustainable marine research, education, and advocacy in the Öresund/Øresund region. We are committed to gender equality in all aspects of our work, including in our internal organisation, field operations, partnerships, and scientific collaborations. This Gender Equality Plan formalises that commitment and sets out how we will maintain and improve it over time.
Öresund Patrøl (ÖP) is a cross-border marine research and conservation organisation operating as two parallel legal entities: Öresund Patrol (registered in Sweden) and Øresund Patrol (registered in Denmark), governed together under the collective name Öresund Patrøl. In this Privacy Policy, references to “ÖP”, “we”, or “us” refer to the relevant legal entity processing your personal data.

We regularly photograph and film activities, including field operations, educational events, and public outreach. Where images or footage feature identifiable individuals, we seek consent before publication. The legal basis is consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, after which we will remove identifiable images from future publications.
3. How Long We Keep Your Data
  • Contact form enquiries: up to 12 months after our last correspondence
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe, plus 30 days for deletion processing
  • Photography and film: retained for archival and communication purposes unless you withdraw consent
4. Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with service providers who support our operations, such as our email newsletter platform and website host. These providers act as data processors under written data processing agreements and may not use your data for their own purposes.
